Fin’s Fighters (www.facebook.com/finsfighters) are a local fundraising group led by Tara Armstrong and Gail Clements-Browne. They raise money and awareness for the blood cancer research charity, Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research). Tara’s son Finlay was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at the age of 3, thankfully he is nearly 9 years old and cancer free! She is passionate about this charity as she strongly believes the research they do helped refine the treatment which saved her son’s life.
Thomson Airways Cabin Crew, based at Luton, have recently voted Fin’s Fighters as their Base Charity and they are arranging a May Ball on Saturday 14th May 2016 at the Auction House on Crescent Road, Luton, with all monies raised being donated to Fin’s Fighters. The ticket price for this black tie gala event includes a complimentary drink on arrival, a two course sit-down meal and a full night of entertainment. Tickets are £40 per person. There are only a limited number of tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis, and tables of 10 can be reserved if you would like to bring a group of friends.
